Oh man someone reblogged my growing up thing, deleted all of the commentary, and added “why can’t I be a kid again?!”
That is… unbelievably rude? Like, not only are you basically declaring “I DO NOT CARE WHAT YOU SAID” to me (as I get a notification), you’ve also now got “reblogged from frezned” under an image that I obviously disagree with pretty hard.
Like - don’t worry about apologising or anything, we’re cool; I’ll probably have forgotten about this by dinner time (it’s 4:45 at the moment).
I just wanna say:
Here’s what to do instead of reblogging an image from someone with the commentary deleted: reblog it from the person that the commenter reblogged it from. It’s not hard to follow the trail back, just go until you’re reblogging from someone you agree with.
And then, everyone is happy.
the same thing happened to me with an image I posted that was perpetuating some negative female stereotypes. And now people are reblogging it from the person that deleted my commentary, so it’s going around tumblr being posted as “look how funny this is” instead of my original intent which was “hey, girls. let’s stop these stereotypes.”
